SYNOPSIS
This service is a prelude to our New Year’s Eve service on December 31st with Rev. Scott Alexander. We invite you to come, worship, and be a part of sharing your joys with others. Transitions are difficult at this time of year, and we extend our warmth and love to you during this time. Join us after service for coffee and dialogue.

SERMON DESCRIPTION
As we approach a new year, we are invited to recognize that our greatest gifts are not simply what we give and celebrate with others, but who we are. Through the uniqueness that is us – our talents, skills, voices, and experiences – each of us enriches the lives of those around us. We invite you to come and celebrate with others your self-worth, empowerment, and the importance of caring for ourselves and others with compassion, empathy, and love.

PRESENTER BIO
Oracle Hekataios (he/they) is a multi-religious pluralist. As a polytheist, Wiccan, and initiated priest in Lukumí, their devotions to the Goddess are the bedrock of their religious practices. He is an author, interfaith minister, and teacher who facilitates workshops at conferences and festivals, and has students both nationally and internationally.

They are passionate about pluralism, philosophy, and the intersections of humanism, science, and mythic living. Oracle is currently a second-year student at Starr King School for the Ministry for their M.Div, with a focus on UU Ministry and Multi-Religious Identity and Justice.
