Oracle Hekataios

SYNOPSIS
Unitarian Universalists’ CUUPS group, Path of the Labyrinth, takes over the service in honor of Samhain. We invite you to bring a small photo of your departed loved ones (pets included), and we ask that you limit it to two if possible due to limited space. The service itself will feature a time to meditate about them along with a Ritual of Grief and Remembrance.

Our speaker will be Oracle Hekataios, the Chair of our CUUPS group with their sermon While We Are Still Here. Our service leader will be Max Salinas. After the service, we invite you to stay for coffee hour and dialogue.

Blessed be.

SERMON DESCRIPTION
In this Samhain-themed service, we will reflect on the legacies we create through our love, creativity, relationships, and the communities we nurture. Through remembrance and the practice of restorative justice, we will explore how honoring our beloved dead can inspire us to heal what is broken, embrace the living, and create a legacy that makes something beautiful possible for those who come after us.
