Events Committee

The Events Committee plans, coordinates, and conducts social gatherings and fellowship activities for the congregation throughout the year. The committee typically organizes approximately 8-10 events annually, often in connection with holidays, congregational celebrations, or in support of other church committees and programs.

Events may include potlucks, barbeques, receptions, catered meals, and other social activities intended to strengthen fellowship and community within the church. Responsibilities of the committee include scheduling events, coordinating facilities and logistics, creating and managing sign-up sheets, arranging food service, and organizing setup and cleanup activities. The committee works collaboratively with other church committees and groups to support congregational needs and special occasions. In carrying out its work, the committee may ask members and friends of the congregation to contribute food, supplies, decorations, or volunteer assistance for events.

In addition to coordinating events following Sunday services, the Events Committee meets monthly to plan upcoming activities, review past events, and coordinate responsibilities among committee members.
